What are the advantages of nylon helical gears over metal helical gears? ​
Nylon helical gears have the advantages of light weight (about 1/7 of metal), low noise (good shock absorption, running noise is 10-15 decibels lower than metal gears), strong self-lubrication (no need to frequently add lubricants), excellent corrosion resistance (good tolerance to chemicals such as acids and alkalis) and low cost, which are suitable for scenes sensitive to noise and weight. ​


What is the applicable temperature range of nylon helical gears? ​

The applicable temperature of ordinary nylon helical gears is generally between - 40℃ and + 80℃. If reinforced nylon materials (such as adding glass fiber) are used, they can withstand temperatures of about 100℃ in a short period of time, but it is recommended not to exceed 80℃ for long-term use. High temperature environment may cause material aging and strength reduction.


How to determine the module and number of teeth of nylon helical gears? ​

It needs to be calculated based on the transmission power, speed, transmission ratio and installation space of the equipment. Usually, parameters such as load torque, input speed, transmission direction, etc. are required. The manufacturer will check the allowable stress of nylon materials to ensure that the gears meet the use strength requirements.​
