Common materials include 20CrMnTi, 42CrMo alloy steel and carburized steel. 20CrMnTi has high surface hardness and good wear resistance after carburizing and quenching, and the cost is moderate; 42CrMo has excellent comprehensive mechanical properties and is suitable for heavy-duty conditions but the price is relatively high.


2. What is the heat treatment process of the product?

Carburizing and tempering processes are usually used. Carburizing can make the surface hardness of the gear reach HRC58-62, the core maintains toughness, and improves wear resistance and fatigue resistance. Some high-precision gears will also be nitrided after grinding to further improve the surface hardness and anti-bite ability. ​
